OUR PROGRAMS ARE CREATED WITH A STRONG FOCUS BASED ON HUMAN RIGHTS. THE MAJORITY OF THE PROGRAMS ARE PART OF THE MILLENNIUM GOALS THAT ALL UNITED NATIONS MEMBER STATES HAVE AGREED TO ACHIEVE BY THE YEAR 2015. FROM HERE WE TRY TO MAKE OUR SMALL CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS, THE ERADICATION OF POVERTY AND HUNGER, SUPPORTING OUR CHILDREN TO BE ABLE TO FINISH PRIMARY SCHOOL, THE PROMOTION OF GENDER EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN AND TO REDUCE CHILD MORTALITY AND IMPROVE MATERNAL HEALTH. IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS WE WILL TRY TO JOIN DIFFERENT CAUSES RELATED TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND PREVENTION OF DISEASES.

Through the art and especially through photography we introduce ourselves to society.  We try to generate emotions that help us together elaborate our Social Awareness Programs. Through the transmition of our experiences we have achieved that people have joined forces with our causes.

We engage ourselves into showing reality from a different point of view, trying to bring out the countless human potential behind the innumerable needs.

We invite everybody to experience it this way, if we feel it and we involve ourselves, we can help initiate profound and sustainable changes.

Organization

Visionair is made up of a small group of professionals. Their interest in the human condition combined with their passion for the arts shines a different light on varies social issues in order to create new ways of interacting with society.The team is working in Montevideo, Uruguay.

A strong board that forms and guards the vision of Visionair supports the executive team. Members of the board come from very different fields, from leading multinational companies to heading public hospitals and international foundations.

The “Link”, is a small group of people. They are part of the organization through their affinity with creativity and the arts and through their deep social concerns. They spread the ideals of Visionair, while at the same time they aspire us to continue doing our work.

LEGAL CONSTITUTION

The Visionair Foundation is a non-profit organization registered by the ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. It is audited by Deloitte and it counst with legal support of the law form Posadas, Posadas y Vecino.

The general administration follow the international criteria established by The Central Bureau of Fundraising.

Visionair has been nominated and awarded “Golden Citizen of the Year” with its program

Fondo Rosado by Celade,  “Centro Latinoamericano del Desarrollo”.
